Leaning into the future

Our commitment to continuous improvement has been highlighted in a new case study by Construction Futures Wales. The case study outlines how working closely with Construction Manufacturing expert John Clement (far left) from the CFW consultancy team has helped transform Brickfab. A series of workshops and sessions on Lean Management and Value Stream Mapping have resulted in a reduction in the number of processes, significant savings and an increase in production capacity.

John White expressed his appreciation for the support received:“The CFW support, alongside our KTP project was very successful for the company in introducing Lean manufacturing techniques and improving our manufacturing processes. The training with John Clement was accessible for staff at all levels of the business, he was able to give us the full benefit of his knowledge and experience as well as a raft of practical tools enabling us to realise  savings across the business.  The workshops gave us an excellent foundation for Lean – it encouraged ideas and innovation from the team.”

This is the latest example of how Sajith Soman and his work on the Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Cardiff University has helped Brickfab benefit by enabling the introduction of lean manufacture principles via redesigning our factory layout and introducing automation into the production process.
